You would never know by the "we can only cover one crisis at a time" U.S. news media.  Did they literally pickup and leave?  I have not heard one broadcast news story on what is happening in Iraq since Israel responded in Lebanon. 

No offense to the heroic soliders of Israel who are defending their homeland, but we have a few heroes in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan.   What is going on over there?  

It might be interesting to know if any of the terrorists in Iraq also left town to go fight with their brothers in Hezbollah in Lebanon.  (Hopefully they did - because they would be taking a well deserved pounding.)  Maybe they got there through Syria...but then of course, if this is true, the media would have to admit that perhaps these terrorists are all linked in some way.

I'd be interested in hearing any expert opinion on what the pounding of Hezbollah in Lebanon means for Al Quaida or other terrorists networks in Iraq.  Have the events in Israel/Lebanon had any effect on the events in Iraq?
